Ramapo

Mission

The Friends of Ramapo is an organization founded in 1973 to expand communications and foster greater understanding between Ramapo College and neighboring communities by sharing the College’s cultural and educational resources, while raising scholarship money. Neighbors are introduced to Ramapo College’s strategic goals and culture and are invited to become active members of the College community.

Throughout its long history, the Friends of Ramapo have annually awarded scholarships to Ramapo College eligible students. Funded from annual membership fees and proceeds from Friends of Ramapo events and fundraisers, these scholarships help students reach their greatest potential.  Through 2022, the Friends of Ramapo have awarded close to 350 scholarships valued at $500,000 to Ramapo College students.
